My Journey!
When I started this journey of being an owner, I didn't realize what was in stored for me. I kind of just took a leap without knowing anything about ownership. I guess you could say, I went in blind.
I gathered my decor and supplies and opened the door to my studio. I had a following already so I wasn't scared but more excited. Things were running smoothly and everyone seemed to enjoy our new surroundings but I came to realize that I didn't know anything about marketing or how to bring new clients in. I also started to see new trends that I didn't know about. I kind of sat there thinking I needed to do something or I was going to be closing the doors.
That's when it hit me. I needed to learn! I needed education! I needed to know how to bring new clients in, how to run efficiently and to better my skills bc the beauty industry had changed. There were no more walk ins, or someone next to me to teach me how to do these new techniques or run the business for me.
I happened to stumbled across this amazing women who had all the answers. She directed her energy towards stylist to educate them on all levels of business. It was a year course that went in depth on every level. She taught me the funnel to thrive in this industry. I also learned a valuable lesson of educating myself on all the latest trends. I take a lot of hands on classes or online. So basically, if you snooze, you loose and I didn't want that. I didn't want to get left behind. I wanted to do everything in my power to succeed and thankfully all my efforts are paying off.
I just had my four year anniversary of being open and I couldn't be more excited about that. It's definitely a celebration for me. I know if it hadn't been for the people I learned from and all of my wonderful clients I would not exist. I love each and everyone of them for supporting me in my journey! I truly am so grateful for every fork in the road I have crossed and so many wonderful people. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
